GreenState Responds to John Deere Strike to Support Its Members

North Liberty, IA – Responding to the first strike in over 35 years, Iowa’s largest credit union, GreenState Credit Union, announced today a special loan to help affected members through this challenging period. All GreenState members who are also Deere employees now have access to a $1,000 personal loan at zero-percent interest.

“As a community-focused credit union, we are happy to step up to help our John Deere-employed members,” Amy Henderson, Chief Consumer Services Officer said in announcing the new support.

The North Liberty-based credit union has 23 locations throughout the state and over 300,000 members.

This isn’t the first time GreenState has offered special loans to support its members in times of need. Last year, when COVID-19 hit and the historic derecho struck numerous parts of Iowa, they supported members through zero-percent loans and waived fees.
