About GreenState Credit Union
In 1938 a group of State University of Iowa Hospital employees got together and formed a small credit union to help serve staff at the University hospital. In 1966 the credit union expanded to serve all staff, students and alumni and became University of Iowa Credit Union. In 1988 the credit union’s charter expanded to serve area residents as University of Iowa Community Credit Union (UICCU). Much has changed over the years, including our name in 2019 to what it is today: GreenState Credit Union. Yet the commitment to serving the needs of the families who work for the University of Iowa and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics remains the same.
