Closing your account

If I choose to close my account, what's the process?

We’d be sorry to see you go, but we do everything we can to make the account closure process hassle-free.
Once you are ready to close your account please stop into a branch or call us at 319-339-1000 or 800-397-3790. If you choose to call we will need to send you a form to sign electronically by email.
Any remaining funds left in the account will be mailed to you in the form of an official check. 

What if I want to close my joint account?

If you want to close a joint account only one of the owners (Primary or Joint) listed on the account need to sign.
Once you are ready to close your account please stop into a branch or call us at 319-339-1000 or 800-397-3790. If you choose to call we will need to send you a form to sign electronically by email.
Any remaining funds left in the account will be mailed to you in the form of an official check. 

Important things to know

  • We are not able to close your $5 membership share savings account if you still have an open Loan, Credit Card, Mortgage, CD, Money Market, or Checking account.
