Accessing Card Controls

To access Card Controls, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to your GreenState Online Banking account.
  2. From the left-hand side main menu, select the Card Controls button.

Registering Cards

Before you can start using Card Controls, it's important to register your cards. Once registered, you can take advantage of the following features:

  • Enable/Disable Card: Easily enable or disable transactions on your card. Enabling the card allows transactions, while disabling it temporarily blocks all transactions.
  • Order Replacement Card: If your card is lost or stolen, you can conveniently order a new card to replace the existing one.
  • Report a Card Lost/Stolen: In case your card goes missing or is stolen, report it immediately to order a new card.
  • Card Settings: Customize your card settings to block transactions based on dollar amount, location, or transaction type.
  • Set Alerts: Receive alerts for transactions based on dollar amount, location, or transaction type.
  • Report Travel Notifications: Notify GreenState about your travel plans to ensure your card is ready for use during your trip.

A: No, the Card Settings feature is only for reducing the limits on your cards. GreenState's maximum limits are still in place and cannot be changed online.

Q: Can my debit card limits be permanently raised above the set limits on a card?
A: GreenState has limits in place on debit cards to minimize losses in the event of fraud. Although temporary increases may be possible for a short time frame, the limits cannot be raised permanently.

Q: Does the credit union block specific merchants?
A: No, the credit union does not block specific merchants. However, Card Controls allows you to block transaction channel categories. It is important to note that merchants may categorize their transactions differently than you might expect. To ensure your card is appropriately blocked, we recommend utilizing the card on/off feature. This allows you to have better control over your card's usage and provides an extra layer of security.
