Getting started with Bill Pay

Mailing checks or paying bills

We offer free bill pay that you can use to pay most bills. You can also use bill pay to mail a check to any person in the United States.

Before you can start sending payments, you’ll need to enroll in Bill Pay in online banking.

Enrolling in Bill Pay

  1. Login to online banking from our homepage.
  2. Once signed into online banking click or tap on the Bill Pay tab.
  3. Now click or tap on the Pay Bills sub menu option.
  4. Here you will be asked to select which account you would like to pay from (Checking accounts only). Select the GreenState checking account you wish to pay from and then click or tab Enroll in Bill Pay.

  5. You will now be directed to Bill Pay to setup your first payment.

Adding a person or company you’d like to pay with Bill Pay

  1. Login to online banking from our homepage.
  2. Once signed into online banking click or tap on the Bill Pay tab.
  3. Now click or tap on the Pay Bills sub menu option.
  4. Tap or click the Add Payee button.
  5. Select Pay a company, then select Next.
  6. Enter the information for the company in the provided fields, then select Next.
  7. Fill out the additional fields and select Next.
  8. The newly added Person or Business will now be listed in your Payees to make a payment to. For steps on making payments see our article Sending a Payment with Bill Pay‍.

Prohibited payees

  • Payments sent outside the United States.
  • We do not suggest paying GreenState loans or Credit Cards by Bill Pay.
